About the service
What is a hygienic pedicure?
A dry pedicure for the parts of a foot that give trouble: hard skin, split heels, thickened nails. No footbath and no soaking. A nail specialist works with an e-file and hand tools. It is cosmetic care for feet, not medical care.
What a hygienic pedicure involvesWhat happens during a visit?
We look at your feet and ask what has been going on. Then nails get trimmed and shaped, thick nails thinned, hard skin smoothed, the corners cleaned up. Color comes last, and only if you asked for it. Most people walk out and go straight back to their day.
The step-by-step visitHow is this different from the pedicure I get now?
Yours probably starts with a soak and ends with polish. Ours starts with what is wrong: a heel that keeps splitting, nails too thick to cut at home. There is no water in it. The e-file does the work, and color is optional.
Dry pedicure, explainedIs a hygienic pedicure a real thing, and is it worth it?
It is a real service: a waterless pedicure aimed at foot skin and nails, with color as an afterthought. The name is not a qualification and it does not replace a podiatrist. Worth it depends on your feet. If nothing bothers you, a regular pedicure is fine.
Who books a hygienic pedicureCost and payment
What does a visit cost?
It depends on what your feet need and how long that takes, so there is no single number. Every service on the pricing page carries a from-price and a time to allow. Polish and add-ons are priced separately, and they are listed the same way.
See every priceCan I pay with insurance, Medicare, an HSA or an FSA?
No to all four. Insurance, Medicare, an HSA and an FSA cannot be billed for a salon service like this one. Medicare leaves out routine foot care such as nail trimming and callus work, and plan administrators list pedicures as ineligible. What coverage exists belongs to podiatrists billing for a medical condition, so ask yours.
What a visit costsDo I tip?
Up to you. Tips are welcome, and nobody here counts on one. Skip it and nothing changes: the same appointment, the same time on your feet. The prices you see on the pricing page are what the service costs, with no tip built in.
The price listCan I add polish, gel, or anything else?
Yes. Color is the one part of the visit you can drop without changing anything else. Gel or regular, either one. Anything extra sits on its own line in the price list, so you can decide on the day instead of at the time you book.

How do you handle instruments between clients?
The service is dry. There is no footbath in the room, so nothing gets shared through standing water. Florida sets a sanitation minimum every salon has to meet. What we do between clients is longer than a sentence, so the hygiene page sets it out instrument by instrument.
How we sterilizeWhat will you not do?
We do not cut living skin, and we do not diagnose or prescribe. A Florida-registered nail specialist works on the surface: nails, hard skin, the edges. Anything inflamed, infected or bleeding is a podiatrist's job. If we see it on the day, we will tell you and stop.
Hygiene and sterilizationWho actually does the work?
A Florida-registered nail specialist, working under the state's cosmetology rules. Not a podiatrist, and we never present it that way. Registration is public, so you can look up any specialist by name on the state's licensing site. Who you will see, and what training they hold, is on the about page.
Who you will seeIs a Russian manicure legal in Florida?
Yes, Florida does not ban the electric file, and the rule it sets instead is that the procedure stays nonintrusive. In practice that is the nail plate and dead tissue only, never the living skin, and our own standard is no redness and nothing sore.
How the dry manicure worksHealth conditions
I have diabetes. Can I still come?
Usually yes, and tell us before we start. Say what your podiatrist has advised, whether you have numbness or circulation problems, and we will keep the work light and dry. If we see anything we should not be working on, we stop and send you to your podiatrist.
Diabetic and senior foot careMy toenails are thick and discolored. Can you help?
We can improve how they look. Thick nails get thinned and shaped, so they press less inside a shoe and cutting them at home gets easier. What we cannot do is tell you why they are like that or make the cause go away. For that, see a podiatrist.
Thick and discolored nailsWhen should I see a podiatrist instead?
Start with a podiatrist if there is an open wound, or a toe that is red, hot or leaking. Same if you have numbness in your feet, or diabetes that is not under control. We say the same at the chair, and we will turn a visit away over it.
What we can and cannot doBefore you come
Can I walk in, or do I need to book?
Book online. That is what holds the slot. If you are nearby and want to be seen today, call before you make the trip. We will tell you on the phone whether there is room, which beats finding out at the door.
Hours, phone and directionsWhere are you?
407 Lincoln Rd, Suite 701, Miami Beach, FL 33139. It is a suite inside the building, so save the address in your phone before you set off. Which door to use, where to park and how to find us once you are inside are all on the contact page.
Directions and parkingDo you do house calls or mobile visits?
Everything on the booking page happens at the studio on Lincoln Road. The chair, the e-file and the rest of the setup do not travel. If getting here is the hard part, say so when you call and we will work out what is possible.
Where to find usDo you see men? Do you see children?
Men, yes. The men's page covers what that appointment includes. For children, call and ask before you book. We would want to hear the age and what is going on with the foot first. Sometimes the honest answer is a podiatrist.
